  • The apprehension and prosecution of offenders
  • To cause a decrease in retail crime losses for participants in the scheme
  • To reduce the opportunity for individuals to commit crime

  • To work in partnership  with the police, Local Authority, One Maidstone CIC and other agencies and organisations responsible for delivering the Community Safety Action Plan

Initiatives

The objectives of MaidSafe will be met through the following initiatives:

  • To increase our membership, therefore giving us a greater opportunity to reduce crime in the town
  • Create greater information through B.I.C.S. (Business Crime Information System), enabling data sharing between towns and collating more information for our members in the local criminal element
  • Discouraging persistant offenders by the serving of Exclusion Orders
  • Using media coverage to advertise our intentions of removing the criminal element from Maidstone, which includes the naming and shaming of offenders
  • Initiate a civil recovery programme
  • Implement staff awareness training for all our members
